Dog Coaching Readiness Self Evaluation

Considering embarking on a journey of dog training and coaching? Are you and your inquisitive canine wanting to enhance the bond you share?

As a human-canine relationship coach, I realize that achieving these goals is about you, the pet parent. (After all, it is you contacting me, not your dog.) Therefore, it’s important to determine if you’re truly ready to make that commitment to yourself, your dog, and the relationship you share.

This self-assessment exercise is designed for your personal use. Simply rate each statement below, and then fetch your results.

If you and your canine companion are ready to move forward on a journey of behavior change, please contact me to schedule your complimentary intake call. If you’re at a place of uncertainty, we invite you to retake the assessment at a future time and contact me when you’re ready.

Self Evaluation Exercise

Self Evaluation
I am dissatisfied or frustrated with my dog's behaviors and I want to make our situation better.
I am ready to be open and honest with my coach, and share my goals as well as frustrations.
I am open to experiment with approaches, tools, and training methods that might be new to me.
I am ready to eliminate or modify self-defeating or self-limiting behaviors, including any aversive methods l've tried in the past.
I am ready to commit the time and effort needed to work on activities between coaching sessions to help me and my dog
I will commit to the coaching schedule. I will prepare for coaching sessions, arrive on time, put my dog's needs before mine, and not cancel last minute.
I see coaching as a worthwhile investment in my dog's life, my life, and the relationship we share, and I have adequate funds to invest.
